Mad Men

I've just started getting into AMC's 60's advertising agency drama Mad Men that has been heaped with critical praise and award nominations. Season two started last Sunday. I noticed a few familiar faces as I was watching specifically that of January Jones (amazing name, blond on right) who it turns out was in Love Actually playing one of the American girls in the bar in Wisconsin who Colin meets and "befriends". On Mad Men, she is the complete opposite of her character in Love Actually. She is a seemingly normal housewife with a marriage that's falling apart. She is simply stunning in the 60's garb, but her character, Betty Draper, is very cold. I love her though.

Another great female character on the show is the bitchy, femme fatale secretary, Joan Holloway, played by Christina Hendricks (redhead on left). She wasn't really in much of the first episode of the second season, but I liked what I saw, and she was on Chelsea Lately on E! recently, and she was funny and down to earth.
