Yes, Yes, Yes

On the other hand, Emma Watson (Hermione in Harry Potter) established herself as a potential fashionista during this past week during Paris Fashion Week. Who knew? I especially love the look on the right which she rocked on her way to Giambattista Valli's show.

No, No, No

Ashley Tiz let me down this week at various premieres and events throughout Europe. It's mostly because of her new hair color. I don't like the fringe skirt or the weird hairstyle on the left, but any use of fuchsia is fine by me. The gold mini is cute and so are the shoes with the bows on them, but not the weave, especially the bangs. C'mon Ash, get it together my fierce darling.

Oh Golly Gee

Some choice quotes from every one's favorite Alaskan circa last night:

-"Nice to meet you, can I call you Joe?"

-"Joe six pack"

-"How long have I been at this? 5 weeks."

-"It's a toxic mess on Main Street that's affecting Wall Street,"

-"As the nation's only Arctic state..."

-"You guys"

-"Drill, baby, drill"

-"Can we talk about Afghanistan real quick too?"

-"Oh man, I'm just a Washington outsider"

-"Say it ain't so, Joe"

-"Dog-gone-it"

-And my favorite: "I'm so encouraged we both love Israel"

Also, about 70 million people watched this debate, making it the most watched vice presidential debate ever.

Tidbits

-The cover for the new Sugababes album has been revealed. I'm not loving it. It looks like the girls were cut and paste from different locations. Oh well, I'm excited for the album. The second single will be Every Heart Broken.

-The track list for the new Girls Aloud album was in British newspaper The Sun today (October 4). Here it is:
The Promise
The Loving Kind
Rolling Back the Rivers
Love is the Key
Turn 2 Stone
Untouchable
Fix Me Up
Love is Pain
Miss You Bow Wow
Revolution in the Head
Live in the Country
We Wanna Party (Bonus Track)
-I'm liking these song titles. The Sun has heard the album and say: "I’ve had the exclusive first listen to new album Out Of Control and I can report it is yet more pop perfection from the lovely ladies," Oh boy, I'm excited.

Genius

Katy Perry, finally released the video, for her song Hot N' Cold. This song is better than I Kissed a Girl, and the video is really fun and amusing. The wedding dress leotards are very Madonna circa early 80's. I particularly enjoy the part near the end where Katy does the running man. To me, this video shows the real Katy, not the purposefully shocking girl who goes around kissing other girls, but the fun one who just wants her man to make up his mind. Well done, Katy. Also, "you PMS like a bitch, I would know" is an amazing lyric.

Tidbits

-Girls Aloud new album will be titled Out of Control and will be released in the UK on November 10!!!! I'm so excited. Kimberely Walsh, second from right, says the new album is: "a lot older sounding...It wasn't intentional - it was just kind of how it went...The '60s thing is quite prominent... But it's out of the ordinary. Not really what you'd expect," (Source BBC News). This sounds very interesting.

-Kings of Leon new album faired well on the US charts, coming in at #4 after having sold 75,000 copies. You go, boys!

Rock It, Leighton!

Leighton Meester, Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, attends a party for Gotham magazine for which she is this month's cover girl. She attended with her boyfriend, Sebastian Stan, who played the sinister Carter on Girl last season (I loved him.) Also, he's Romanian. I'm so in to that. Here's Leighton with her co-star Connor Paulo too. He sure looks happy. They need to get him a new fella on the show. Leighton, I love you! Check out those pumps!
